Access to Port Elizabeth via air and road is very easy, being at one end of the Garden Route, it is the ideal place to start or finish your tour of the Garden Route. From here you can fly to Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. It is a small city and gives visitors the comforts of big world cities. PE is known as the Friendly City for a reason.

• The Hole in the Wall in Coffee Bay on the Wild Coast
• Go skiing in the hills at Rhodes, one of the few places in Southern Africa
• Excellent birding all over
• Access to the southern part of Lesotho
• End off in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
• North towards Bloenfontein in the Free State
• Addo Elephant National Park is a must, malaria free
• The Mountain Zebra National Park near Cradock shows the best of the Karoo
